Sustainability

At Johnson Concrete Products, we are committed to sustainability in all aspects of our operations. Each of our manufacturing facilities strives to minimize our environmental footprint and promote responsible resources management. Under the leadership of Jody Wall, P.E., LEED AP BD+C, Executive Vice President, we have successfully implemented sustainable practices in both our manufacturing processes and finished concrete products.

Structures built with our concrete masonry are inherently disaster-resilient, offering structural strength, wind resistance, and low-maintenance finishes. They are durable and cost-efficient, resisting rotting, warping, fire, vermin, insects, and UV damage. Our commitment to sustainability is further supported by locally sourced aggregates. Our standard concrete block is made with Stalite lightweight aggregate, which improves fire resistance and R-values. Additionally, our products are mold-resistant, non-toxic, and provide excellent acoustical performance while enhancing energy efficiency through high thermal mass.
